System Settings

The Settings page allows you to customize HungryBee POS to fit your specific operational needs, from tax configuration to printer setups.

Restaurant Profile

This information appears on your printed receipts.

Restaurant Name: The name printed at the top of the bill.
Address: Full address line.
Phone Number: Contact number for customers.
GST/Tax ID: Legal tax identification number.
Footer Message: A custom message like "Thank you, Visit Again!" at the bottom of the bill.

Tax Configuration

HungryBee supports flexible tax structures.

Go to Settings > Taxes.
Enable "Apply Tax".
Set the Tax Name (e.g., GST, VAT).
Set the Tax Percentage (e.g., 5%, 18%).
Choose if prices on the menu are Inclusive or Exclusive of tax.
- Inclusive: The price you type is the final price. Tax is back-calculated from it.
- Exclusive: Tax is added on top of the menu price.

Printer Settings

Configure how receipts and KOTs are printed.

Bill Printer: Select the default printer for customer receipts.
KOT Printer: Select the printer for kitchen tickets. This can be the same as the bill printer or a separate one in the kitchen.
Paper Size: Choose between 80mm (3inch) or 58mm (2inch) thermal paper sizes.
Auto-Print: If enabled, bills calculate and print immediately upon checkout without showing a print dialog.

Backup & Restore

Regular backups are critical to prevent data loss.

Backup Data: Click this to download a copy of your database file. Save this to an external drive or cloud storage.
Restore Data: Use this to load a previously saved backup file. Warning: This overwrites current data.

Software Updates

HungryBee checks for updates automatically if connected to the internet. You can unauthorized check manually by clicking "Check for Updates" in the About section.
