First Steps with HungryBee
Congratulations on installing HungryBee! This guide will walk you through the essential initial configurations to get your POS ready for service.
1. Log in for the First Time
After installation, you will see a Login Screen.
- Default PIN: The default administrator PIN is usually
1234or defined during setup. - Security Tip: We strongly recommend changing this PIN immediately in the Staff settings.
2. Configure Restaurant Details
Before making any sales, ensure your business details are correct as they will appear on receipts.
- Go to Settings (Gear Icon in Sidebar).
- Fill in your Restaurant Name, Address, and Phone Number.
- Add your GST/VAT Number if applicable.
- Click Save Changes.
3. Set Up Your Menu
Your POS is empty right now. Let's add your first product.
- Navigate to the Menu section.
- Click Add Category (e.g., "Beverages").
- Select the category and click Add Item.
- Enter details like "Cappuccino", Price "5.00", and upload an image if you like.
- Save the item.
You can bulk import items if you have a CSV file. Check the Menu section for
the Import option.
4. Make a Test Sale
Let's verify everything is working.
- Go to the Billing screen.
- Select "Dine-in" or "Takeaway".
- Click on your newly created "Cappuccino".
- Click Checkout.
- Select Cash and enter the exact amount.
- Click Complete.
If you see a success message (and a printout if a printer is connected), you are ready to go!
