Menu & Product Management

A well-organized menu is essential for fast billing. HungryBee allows for hierarchical categorization of your items.

Category Structure

Your menu is organized as: Categories > Sub-Categories (optional) > Items.

Example: Beverages > Hot Coffee > Cappuccino

Creating a Menu Item

  1. Go to Menu Management.
  2. Select or create a Category.
  3. Click New Item.
  4. Fill in:
    • Item Name: Required.
    • Price: Selling price.
    • Veg/Non-Veg: Useful for dietary indicators.
    • Description: Appear in online catalog (future use).
  5. Upload an image (Automatic resizing is supported).
  6. Toggle "Available": If an item is out of stock, toggle this off to hide it from the billing screen.

Modifiers & Add-ons

Modifiers allow customization.

  1. In the item editor, find the Modifiers section.
  2. Click Add Group (e.g., "Size", "Toppings").
  3. Add options within the group:
    • Small (Price: 0)
    • Large (Price: +2.00)
  4. Set rules: "Single Select" (Radio button) or "Multi Select" (Checkboxes).
Effective menu engineering involves placing high-margin items at the top of their categories for better visibility.
